Living in Boston, should I buy new wheels now, or wait till February or march? But damn,
Wheel models come and go. There are some staple types that are available year in and year out but there is no guarantee a wheel you really like is going to be available any longer come spring. On the other hand, new models do come around and if you havent seen a model you would die without you might see something better in the spring.
There doesnt seem to be any particular financial reason to buy now versus spring as I dont see a lot of fall discounts or significant yearly price reductions (some newer design premium tires do drop in price if they become popular enough).
Timing could be an issue. If you are switching your only wheels over to snows (doesnt sound like it from your sig) and counting on putting that new set of wheels and tires on in the spring, you might be driving the snows in May if your selections are depleted from stock during the spring buying frenzy.
Me? If there was a setup that I knew I wanted, I would buy them now. Why deny yourself - life is short.
By the way, I bought my SSR/Michelins and had them waiting in the garage well over a month before my car showed up. Just so you know what kind of nut you are reading now.<p>2001 A4 1.8TQMS
