Help: Dunlop SP9000 or SP5000 for my 99.5 2.8QMS???

I live in Oregon, which means a lot of rain and about a week of snow at the most. So for that one week, I usually don't drive around (live on a really bad hill) and there are just too many idiots out there in 8000 pound SUVs. My SP8000s are now running pretty thin.

I do drive fast, but I don't race. Which tire would be better for everyday driving?

SP5000 is a great tire for the conditions you mentioned. I have them on my S4.

I like my SP9000s (225/45/17) - I found them good in the rain but I did not push them

They are quiet, and the grip is perfect for me - very similar to the SP8000s but better wear. They are definately not a track tire.I have not driven the SP9000s in snow since when I got the 9ks I purchased Dunlop M2s for the winter. I did put two winters in the SP8000s and agree with your not wanting to use them in the one week of snow that you see.
