different size tires on front/back?
Sorry, if this has ever been asked, but the search function seems kaput. I blew tire this morning (for the second time in 20k!), and I'm thinking about taking this opportunity to move to different size/model tires. I don't feel like replacing all tires though, since the rest are still good. So, my question is, does having 225/50 5000 on the back make any sense when the front is stock 205/55 SP8000E?

You WILL be fine, contrary to irresponsible...
Gomerism, the only issue is some quirky handling at the limit. The rear will massively understeer at low speeds and possibly oversteer when hammered.
Quattro doesn't care about minor diameter differences. How do the gomers think the car turns around corners or handles that micro spare?
