Need new tires.....What's the tire du jour?
Haven't been keeping up with the wheel and tire forum lately. I'm needing to replace my tires, stock rims/susp. What do you guys recommend? Sounds like the 225/45 S-03's are highly regarded. Does anyone still run 235/40 AVS Sports, or are they really too loud? I'm mainly looking for dry weather performance that will be an upgrade to my P6000's. Thanks for any recommendations.

Bridgestone S-03 or Toyo T-1S...
Most summer tires have pretty good dry weather performance. It's the wet weather performance that's not always up to par - this is where S-03s excel.
I've also heard good things about Toyo T-1S, a much lighter tire, which I guess only really matters if you're racing/tracking.

I just got my S-03's this past week. I thought the Pilot Sports were a great tire, but these S-03's
out handle the old tires in wet and dry, and the tires are slightly quieter too!
The biggest bonus is the HUGE rim protection on the S-03's, giving me a little more confidence when the GF takes my car out for a drive.

235/45R17 S-03s!
Replaced my stock 215/55R16 Contis with Oettinger 17X8 REs and Bridgestone tires. Tires are definitely a huge improvement over OEM. (I have non sport 2.7T). Dry grip is frightening! Wet handling is superb!
