tire rubbing problem on A4, please help
I've got a 96' A4 with stock 16" rims. I just put on the stock A8 tires which are 225/60/R16
On steep uneven turns, my back tires will rub the springs. This isn't supposed to happen acording to the A4 forum. any idea what size spacers i should put in or how i should fix the problem?

Those Tires Are Way Too Big. (Stock is 205/55x16)
Generally, 205/55's run a diameter of 24.9"
225/60's will be about 26.6" Audi rear IRS runs the upper control arm very close to the top of the tire. (assuming you have quatrro).
I don't know how you could overcome the 1.7"
difference in tire height, even with spacers.
