Fills the wells perfectly with a tread section width comparable to a 4.2 (255s on 17"s) with the fatty flares. Eibachs on board with no rubbing whatsoever.

Check your tire pressures often...
...my wife's Millenia has 225/50-16's on 6.5" wide wheels and they lose a few pounds regularly, probably from not fitting on the wheel so great (a good bulge like in your pic). OTOH, 235/40-18's on 8" wide rims on my S4 never even seem to lose a pound.

That is too wide of a tire for those rims.
The rim width range for that tire is 7.5"-9" according to the manufacturers specs. You will get too much movement in the sidewall and could possibly even loose a tire. In addition, the whole purpose of the wide tire is good handling, which you won't get with that combination.

where did you get the spacers, and for how much?
Please excuse my ignorance, but could a tire shop handle the installation of the spacers? What tires did you purchase in that size? Any SOTP degradation in acceleration or braking with the added weight?
Oh, and could you show some more pics....side shots, 3/4 of the car. I'm contemplating keeping the 16s after installing the Eibachs.
TIA,

We already had this discussion. It works. The guy could barely get the tires on....
It would take an act of God to get them off. <ul><li><a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/a6/msgs/130144.phtml">pic and prior discussion</a></li></ul>

Actually the front spacers don't need special lug bolts.....
The stock ones bolt up just fine. In the rear you would have to order longer lug bolts which H&R stocks. You want the DR style. They will be drilled 5x100 and 5x112 and weigh very little. If you call H&R they will give a list of distributors in your area as any aftermarket dealer can order them since they are drop shipped out of Washington anyway. I'm using S03s (Bridgestone). They tend to be a little wider than the competition and have a stiff side wall. I'm running 18"s on my other A6 and the ride rigidity is very close and comfortable. Hope this info helps.
