with or without clearcoat on polish wheel lip and what's the best way to maintain...

hahaha now i'm sober, the question is...
what is the best way to maintain a polished wheels (Iforged) without clear coating the lip. i'm getting a new set and the wheel dealer recommends that I get them without clearcoat.

Why in the world with you NOT go with clear coat?
Clearcoat and all you have to do is keep 'em washed and waxed on the same schedule as your car.
Not clear coated and you get into a metal polishing routine that is completely different from the rest of the car.
Not getting this one. Maybe the dealer likes to polish things?
