Just curious. If you buy a wheel without a polished lip, how hard is to chrome the lip later?

why? it would show scratches easier, harder to keep clean looking, etc.

Default You can't just chrome the lip on it...you would have to polish it out..

Polishing out the lip is easy work...but on those RE's there aren't much of a lip to polish. Polishing all 4 lips would cost between 100-200 for the set. Now this here folks is a lip:

Default Call any local wheel shops and see what they say, that's my only suggestion.

Wheel shops will do what you want, which is essentially polish the lip and then powdercoat the rim. You can take that opportunity to change the wheel color too (for instance black).

Since they have to strip the paint off the lip, i suspect you will have to powdercoat the rim after the lip is polished.

Cheers
