wtf is the difference between dunlop wintersport "3D" and "M3"????

im a M2 owner/user and they need to be replaced. the M2s were great, so I was going to get the M3s but TR doesnt carry them?

found my answer...

<i>The next evolution of the Dunlop Winter Sport M3 is the Winter Sport 3D. The Winter Sport 3D is simply the next generation of the Winter Sport M3, much like the M3 replaced the old Winter Sport M2. No large differences, just an evolution of the tire. Check the tire weight. The M3 is like a rock, and the new 3D is a lot lighter.

I put about 2500 miles on my new 3d's last season, through harsh Minnesnowta conditions.

I couldn't be happier with them, looks like #1 on TireRack's survey list this year too.
