Town Fair Tired
Last year my g/f bought 4 new tires at Town Fair Tire. Today she got a flat tire, so she went to TFT to get it repaired. They told her she needed 2 new front tires. When she told them the tires had a 50,000-mile warranty, they looked up her receipt and said there was no warranty indicated on the receipt, so she had none.
She said, OK, I'll buy two new front tires. They also told her she needed an alignment. She said OK.
After waiting several hours for the car, she was finally told it was ready. The service guy then says to her: "By the way, you need new tie rods."
My g/f had new tie rods installed at her local garage two and a half months ago. When she told this to the Town Fair Tire guy, he replied: "OK, then you're all set to go."
What a bunch of crooks.

They told her it needed tie rods AFTER they supposedly aligned it?
Which TFT was this? I use them sometimes too, but never for an alignment.
Although frighteningly enough, the Subaru dealership I used for my wife's car does not have an alignment rack, and they recommend using TFT.
My Audi only goes to the dealership or an good indie shop.
