I need help with replacing my aging tires. On Sport Package wheels, what Z-rated tire should I buy?

I don't really care about tire wear, but I'm a little worried about going to a 225/50-16 size tire. People who have done so claim that it fits fine and one person claimed that the clearence between a rear control arm is about the width of his index finger. What about when the tire flexes while taking a turn?

You'll get a better response on the Wheel & Tire forum...but I'd say

to check out the new Perelli P-Zero Rosso. I heard it's a bad *** tire. Not sure if they make it in a 16" though....<ul><li><a href="https://www.audiworld.com/forum/m/wheel/">Wheel & Tire Forum....check it out.</a></li></ul>

gone through a lot of tires, but Pirelli's best so far...

In 16" I've got P4000's on my 93 100. After 2 years they have lot's of tread and grip left. A big difference from previous tires (dunlop, mich) on this and my old A4 is that they are still smooth and quiet. Couldn't get any grip in the rain on the others at this point.

IMO you don't need a real sticky compound on a quattro car.
