Audi A8 TDI 2015 timing belt/chain issue
Good morning, all. My car, Audi A8 TDI 2015, purchased new, has just turned 145,000.00 miles and the timing belt/chain has never been touched. Is this an issue? Should it be addressed? Should it be left as is? Thanks, all.

I’d leave the chains be until you start getting codes related to their becoming wore out. They’re on the back of the engine and require the engine to be removed in order to do that job. Our 2010 Touareg is at 212,000 and no issues yet (CATA engine).
I did change the injection pump belt, idler and tensioner at 150,000 just as a precaution. It’s a short, toothed, timing belt on the front of the engine from drivers side cam to the center where the pump sits.
I couldn’t find any recommended change interval on it either. Was also a challenge to find the part numbers for everything. There are a couple special tools needed to lock the engine/pump down too as the belt is removed.
