Finalizing what has been an enormous project, today I started with final reinstallation of the engine, and moved into assembling the new intake. Y pipe, intercoolers, tubes, hoses, all new.

Mounting these intercoolers isn't the easiest, but I was quite happy with the way they turned out. They're firmly mounted in place, and don't rub on anything.

Here's a shot of where the horn went on the right side, peek in just over the lower intake tubing.

and the left side horn. These will most likely never be used, but hey, just in case ;-)

Once the IC's were in place, I finished the rest of the intake. I ran into a problem with the piece between the MAF & Y pipe. OEM has a vacuum fitting there, as part of the brake assist vacuum system. New piece from APR kit doesn't. So, I used the OEM parts from the airbox to the Y pipe. We'll have to contact APR on that topic Monday. That Y pipe sure is bling though, and I made sure to install the new fuel injectors prior to fitting the rest of the intake.

Next I started with the oil cooler, Very nice stuff! Here's what it looks like at the oil filter location. It does make it more difficult to get the filter on & off, but it's got just enough room.

Add some bling underneath,

Now to appreciate what's been done so far, here's an idea of what's been replaced. (yes, I know there's two pairs of cats there)

Oh yeah, by the way, it's running fine now. :-)
Suspension to be installed this week, same stuff I'm considering for my car, Stasis c/o's and adjustable uppers.
