We were going to do a "facelift" on the bathroom, new tile, new vanity, but leave the tub and tile around it and that nasty closet was going to stay. We figured about $1K.

Then I pulled the floor up yesterday and said what the hell am I doing?

We himmed and hawwed about it for about an hour and decided to make a really nice bathroom....going to have a killer shower.

I am taking everything up including the subfloor and putting down a sub floor from Warmboard, which is a 1 1/4" plywood with channels for PEX tubing for radiant floor heat. Removing the radiator. Each of the pieces of sub floor have an aluminum top on them to conduct the heat.

I will upgrade the water plumbing to copper also.
