The VM1 is pretty large and hasn't been a problem on stocker.

Seriously, before you go stg 3, save up a lot - like 15k or so as a baseline (but have a figure of 25k+ in the back of your mind for the near term expenses)
- KO4's & inlets
- coating for exhaust mainifolds (yes, do this)
- DP's (coat these too)
- SMIC's
- Fueling, including fuel pump
- Clutch
- Transmission work (maybe not)
- new mounts (think you have done some recently)
- new hoses, gaskets, clamps, vac lines, valves
- new sensors (do some during install, wait on others, but have them on hand if you can)
- fluids
- suspension, install & alignment
- labor
- miscl extras (they're there, hiding, wating...)
- don't forget to factor in shipping and tax costs
I'm sure I'm forgetting something...
Crunch the numbers for what you want, redo it 3 times, then add ~ 3k
