could be the MAF not reading correctly, clear the code and see if it comes back

Default What sort of drivability problems are you seeing?

Is the car driving normally or is it acting different? Just getting the fault code could lead to many things . . .

Looking at it logically if the car is running too lean, then it could be MAF, O2 Sensor(s), coil packs, ECU . . . endless list.

Are you stock? If not, what mods do you have?

Default I have it chipped, intake also

It drives good most of the time, however it does get sluggish sometimes. I do live in Florida where the heat is always kickin, but the vehicle is still sluggish. Other than that do driving problems!

Default Describe the times it gets sluggish . . .

is that when you then see the error codes?

What happened to make you check for error codes? Did something in particular make you check?

Try unplugging the MAF and see if that changes how the car drives. Also try accellerating from gears 1-4 HARD, don't shift until 5,500. See how the car reacts. Does it feel as though you threw out an anchor, or does it just keep accellerating?

Default I checked the codes when the check ing. lite appeared

It does still acclerate throgh the gears. It is sluggish when the lite is on or after a reset it and before it comes back on. It takes approx. 30 mins. of driving for it to come back on. I've reset it 3-4 times so far.

Default MAF most likely bad then.

Bring it to the dealer and tell them to check it. Make certain it has the code on the car when you bring it in, else they won't believe you.

Default It's the MAF, I guarantee it

had the same problem ever 30-100 miles CEL would come on car goes into limp. Very low boost. Then reset and car is back to normal.

If you can't get it covered under warranty, do a search here for Rastta and MAF there is a vw part that replaces it for a fraction of the cost. If you have a 225 you will have to remove the sensor from the housing, it requires a tamper restrictive torque bolt (torque w/pin in ctr.) with the right pieces it is a 30 min job.
