I have a 2000 CQ with 155K on the clock. Not many problems as long as you stay on top. These cars require maintenance. Things to check with that many miles...

Suspension parts - ball joints, sway bar down links and strut bushing and bearings

O2 sensors - these start to fail around 90K

Mass Airflow meter (MAF0 - this is between the air box and turbo induction pipe (TIP). Usually last around 40-60K

Diverter valve (DV) - if car is not chipped, this should be pretty good. The Bosh unit is 710N.

Ignition coils - The 2000 TT uses the Hitachi bolt on units. If you start getting random miss fires, usually it is either these failing or bad plugs.

You didn't state if the car is a quattro or front trac. If quattro, replace the haldex fluid and filter every 20K. Haldex is the rear differential of the car.

I could go on but you get the picture.

As far as the price, it looks a little high to me.

Hope this helps.

ummmm - I've got the same car....2000 TT 1.8 Coupe. Obviously you've seen the car so in addition to "your eyes" Mileage is very low, yet price appears competitive so:
1. Check with AOA as far as registration and any other known issues.
2. Verify with seller if recall items have been addressed/corrected.
3. Have your tech or a reliable source do a diagnostic to see if any items pop-up.

So bottom line, while you would be purchasing car to drive, it depends on your bottom line usage (day to day vehicle, weekender, etc.)

Good Luck

Yes but with a lot of maintenance--much more frequent oil and oil filter changes than Audi says. Also, the timing belt and water pump with all related parts need replacement every 80,000 miles or less if you race/beat on the car frequently. Change the oil in the transaxle too. If you pay someone to do all the work this will be very expensive for a car that will not be worth much at 200,000 miles. I don't think it is a good deal.

I just bid on a 2002 VW GTI 1.8l turbo (engine code AWP also used in the Audi TT) 5 speed with 195,000 miles that runs and drives OK. So it is possible.
