5th digit engine code????

Where are you actually seeing the x or c? The only C I can ever think of seeing was on the block itself, there’s an 8 or 9 digit code before it. Starts with 06A or 058 etc. The AWP is stamped on a slant near the trans to the right of the engine oil filter. It’s also on the cylinder head sometimes. if you’re looking for a replacement used engine then a Jetta, beetle, gti 1.8T should work. Look for the one that starts with 06A on the side of the block. As I don’t think the tts had 058 blocks. Although I’ve heard the end where the flywheel sits on may differ between the manual and auto. Never seen it myself. But manuals are becoming rare in the us. So I don’t know. Once fitted you should find a reputable tuner, because well short answer, better smoother quicker running engine....Other answer google wiki Audi s4 tuning.
