I hoped that this morning I will know the results of the hearing
You know, my case... The court date was August 30th so I spent whole weekend a bit jumpy...
Well, this morning I called the lawyer and spoke with his assistant. Apparently, the lawyer went to the court on Friday but, I am told, the case was <b>re-scheduled</b> until later (they still don't know the new date yet).
My best guess was that the leutenant who "booked me" didn't appear in court (come to think of it, it's privates and sergeants who go to court, leutenants, however, have more important things to do... you know, chasing Audi TTs in unmarked cars, stuff like that).
If that was a simple ticket case, it would have been dismissed. But, it seems, I kinda "graduated" to the heavy-weight league

Yeah, my wife had her day in traffic court today, and luckily, the cop didn't show, so...
"Case dismissed due to lack of prosecution." The best 7 words you can hear in traffic court. :-) I hope things work out similarly for you.
BTW, if the Lt. wrote you up himself, he has to show up in person, he can't send a lackey to do it for him. :-)
