..forget the muffler shops (they use MIG and Si rod)..go to an industrial welder that has a TIG and can weld 321SS.......should cost you $100 if you take the exhaust to them off the car.
The 2.25" straight section will go into the stock coupling...you will need the cut the conical section at the spot to match the 225 exhaust section, then you will also need to cut off the tail of the 225 exhaust to the same length of the transition you just cut...tack and TIG weld it up..
the picture above is a good 321SS or inconel weld (it's actually a 2.75" 321SS V-Band Clamp..you could also go with a v-band with 2.25/2.5" flanges...but that's more $$$ and with the transition solution you can use the stock hvy duty slip coupling)
one more thing the welder needs either 347 or 308 rod...and believe it or not my welder pulled out a $40k xray diffraction analyser to find out if the jetex was 321...it was 321..more kudos to jetex...I don't know of any other company is using 321SS???
