Alignment Problem
Just took snows off and put original tires back on (mounted on alloys) and the car started pulling to right (always have to crank-in some left roatation on steering wheel).
Had the alignment reset at Audi dealer, but still drifts right.
What I need to know is the following-settings for the alignment for my car with H&R's.
Any other reason you can think of why the car now pulls to right. Tires have about 1/32 in. tread life and are all "round" according to dealer. He is baffled also.
Thanks
Check the pressures in the summer tires, adjust them to 33/30 F/R and see how the car drives. If the car still pulls to one side under just driving, then it is either the tires, the alignment or something is bent.
If they are talking about the MkII control arm swap it is a voluntary recall, not a safety recall. But as you said, you already had this performed.
Once your dealer "gets the parts", please find out what they are talking about before allowing them to touch the car.
You might just swap right front and right rear and test drive it. If that cures the problem, it's the tire now on the right rear.
If no difference, try swapping just the lefts.
Unless something happened to the suspension during winter tire swapout, like a bad wheel alignment, it's highly likely that it is one tire.
