Default Another Offset question

According to an offset calculator, going from the stock 17x7.5 inch et32 rim to a 17x8 inch et35 rim,I will lose 9mm between the strut housing and the inner part of the rim. It will also extend 3 mm on the outer edge of the rim. Does that sound correct? Do I need spacers in this case, or is the 9mm loss negligable? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

That's less than 3/8 inch. Myself and lots of people have 18x8 35et without any issue.

Default 9.35mm should not be an issue...

...
6.35mm=1/2*0.5"*25.4mm/"<7.5 to 8.0" rim
3.00=et35<et32
------
9.35mm/25.4mm=0.37" closer to the strut...

thanks for the reply. I will prob order the Rondell R58's in 17x8. I am not sure if I want those or if I want to wait for the OZ SL's, which won't be available until mid march.
