Audi TT

I am considering buying an Audi TT. I spoke with a friend of mine in Spain and he informed me that the TT has had transmition problems at high speed. He stated that the designers failed to put a strong enough transmition in the car. Being that this is the first model year, I am nervous about the purchase. I would appreciate any feedback, both good and bad.

There have been instances when the rear gets light at high speed.

The transmission issue is unrelated. Some people have had transmission problems, but that seems not to have been the general experience.
