oil leak near charge pipe please help :(
Hi all,
i am new to the forum.
i own a MK1 Audi TT 225 Quattro.
lately i am have some real problems with the car losing oil at a fast rate.
i have managed to identify the leak.
the leak is coming from the the larger hose going into the charge pipe which then drips down to the exhaust manifold/turbo and creates a shed load of smoke and stench!
i have observed that the oil squirts out when it is under boost i.e. if im driving hard/turbo kicking in/boost; there is a pool of oil!
i recently replaced tie wraps which someone put on with metal jubilee clips.
the oil somehow is still leaking through.
is there a likelihood of the charge pipe being corroded/crack? it is aluminium right?!
I also noticed a pipe which has collapsed which goes into THE BASE of a plastic dome type device.
Please see pics attached.
i would greatly appreciate some help on this as my mechanic hasn't got a clue.
i have read up about faulty PCV/PRV but dont think this is the problem
many thanks in advance,
Sam.
