Default Boost Controller..

First of all, wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays everyone!

Now here's my question for the day, have anyone seen a boost controller installed in an Audi? I was talking to a guy at a local shop today who specializes in DSM's said that installing a boost controller in turbo'ed cars will allow you to control the boost and increase the acceleration of the car. He said it could be installed along with an aftermarket chip we have already. Since some of us live in cooler area's and have mods that allow better breathing for our cars, with these boost controllers we'll be able to customize the boost in our turbo's. I'm not too sure how reliable are these products, but they have been standard modifications in GTR's and Imprezza's and other Japanese exotic sports cars for a while now. I know what we haven't isn't a Japanese import, but the guy at the local shop here said all turbo's run the same way, and a boost controller will be an asset for any turbo'ed car. Any input on this? Thanks in advance!

BTW: I've brought my car in to pre-program my remote with the window control and etc, and also programed the Bose stereo from 00517 to 00507, this made an ENORMOUS base increase compared to stock settings, I highly recommend it to anyone who would like more base from their factory Bose system. And below is the link to the remote codes for a TT coupe.

TT Coupe remote codes

Default Problem is DSM and I think most other jap cars have vacuum controlled wastegates....

The Audi uses and electronically controlled wastegate. It's easy to fool a vacuum controlled wastegate with a controller. I don't think any of them will work with an eletronically controlled Bosch system. That is not really the aftermarkets bread and butter.

I'm not saying it's impossible, just very unlikely.

Wastegate is pneumatically actuated & aftermarket chips do change boost pressure.

Default Well aware the aftermarket chips increase boost pressure, they also redo the fuel maps.

I can tell you that on a DSM motor is not neccesary to redo fuel mapping's when increasing boost pressure. I again believe you can't just toss a boost controller in an Audi and expect it to run good without redoing fuel mappings & timing curves. I have never heard of someone putting a boost controller on a late model turbocharged Audi.

Real problem is, if I had a boost dial it would always be set to 11...
