Default this is a lower one under the battery box - evidently its usually THE culprit

Default Hmmm...Rare.....

Could be any number of things....Do we have no codes for sure? Sounds like hard limp, but there's usually a code thrown. Assuming no leaks (Big assumption) the two things that directly affect boost are the N75 (will default to 5 PSI if bad) and the N249 which controls the DV....Any escaping air noises through that?

Default I was thinking that it was possible that the N75 was bad...>

but that wouldn't account for the boost to have slowly and steadily droped down to 5 psi would it. Don't think that it's hard limp, just checked for codes and got nothing.

I don't hear any unusual sounds coming from the engine compartment. All seems normal.

Default The N75 could have gone bad..>>>

It's a solenoid though, so either good or bad usually. Your declining boost kinda threw me off on that...but could have been a sporadic connection issue...That plug has been know to go bad. The sell a replacement harness/plug for it.

If you can swap in a known good part it would confirm that suspicion..
