Default Boost problems, Help!!!!!!!!!!

Yesterday I did the grounding mod, ya know, make the chain like neg terminal to throttle body, throttle body to valve cover valve cover to passenger fender, and so on. Now I am only getting EXACTLY 12lbs of boost. I mean exactly, like it stops on it and doesn't move until I shift. I'm used to getting around 19-22 so this is quite a loss. Please help, I don't know why the grounding would have anything to do with boost loss, maybe I just didn't notice until after.

Default You did something....>

while you were messing around in there! Check for a kinked Boost gauge line. 12PSI is not even a limp number so it's unlikely an unplugged or bad N75 plug..

Recheck everything around where you made connections..

It seems like it pulls really good, but it just hits a wall at 12lbs.

Default Just guessing, but maybe there is a kink in your boost gauge line, like Steve said..............

If everything seems to be running fine, then it may just be how it is being read from your boost gauge hose. A kink could limit your gauge hose flow to 12. Just a thought.

Default Josh, when you did the install did

you route the wires near anything like the BM where you may have knocked something loose? N75?

It's kinda weird. That'd be the only thing I can think of to check would be all your connections to stuff like that since the hyper ground should have had no effect on boost.

I know, thats what I thought. The car still feels like it pulls above 12psi.

Not a kink in the boost guage line. Checked that. Still feels like it pulls above 12psi

Default So, you can't actually feel the boost drop off at 12 psi?

Because when i had my boost issue, when it the boost would drop off, you could really feel it, it felt like the bottom just dropped right out......So, if you can't feel the boost dropping off, then, like the others were saying, it may be a gauge issue.

No, it feels like it pulls above 12psi, just not what the guage shows.
