Did mine too a few weeks ago, I've been away...and now I look at the valve and the hose clamps look factory, like they haven't been removed...is this possible? Invoice from the dealership says one clamp replaced, and the bottom one looks new (screw type) Is it possible to swap the valve by only disconnecting the lower hose?

Regardless, I took her for a spin and she's still honkin'. I'm looking forward to replacing it with a Forge valve.

Is that a "G" I see in your picture? latest rev is "N". maybe they replaced with an obsolete part #?

Default Yes,...

that's just it,...I think maybe they did nothing...though the invoice claims otherwise.

Unless you can disconnect it from the other end of those hoses?

Default They probably submitted a warranty claim for the bogus repair and will turn around and use the dv

that you should have received, in some other car or maybe they will sell it at a profit to some poor sap. Just can't trust these sneeky dealers.

Looks like mechanics blood on the bottom clamp. Maybe it was changed.

Default Some dealers have the tool to re-install the one use clamps, but...

it is not standard. You should've got an N or H at the very least. You should go back to the dealer and ask to see the clamp tool. If they don't have it, then turn them in to AoA customer service. The service manager may be terminated for warranty fraud and you would do the other Audi owners in your area a big favor.

Default Well, maybe, but...

I wouldn't jump to any conclusions yet...
I wouldn't be the least bit surprised that they replaced your DV
with whatever they had in their replacement bin (in this case, rev "G")
without checking the rev # (or if they checked, without worrying too much
about it :-)

I don't suppose you remember the rev you had before they replaced it
(to be sure if your original was "G" or not)? Too bad you didn't mark the
part with a "secret sign" so you could tell if it got replaced. Still, you seemed
to indicate that the behavior changed somewhat, suggesting that they really
did do something (if it didn't completely solve anything).

Still, if it ain't fixed, I'd go back and have them replace it with an "N" or
later, per the latest TSB...
Good luck!
