Default Central locking coding options (use VAG-Com)

Here are some options for the Audi TT Central Locking controller. Some of these have been posted before, while others have not, AFAICT. These have been verified for version D04 of the controller.

The module can be recoded with VAG-Com. To compute the value with which to recode the module, start with the base number, and add the values for the desired options. CL = Central locking. SCL = Safe Central Locking (AKA selective unlocking, i.e. 1st unlock does driver's door, 2nd does passenger door) These numbers apply to US models.

Base Value: 10248

Option/value:
Enable SCL/4
Roadster Power top/16
Autolock at speed, unlock when key removed/32
Allow windows up-down with remote/64
Confirm remote lock with blink/512
Confirm alarm set with beep/1024
Confirm remote unlock with 2x blink/4096
SCL using key, CL with remote/16384

Did you come up with that all by yourself? Or just steal it from Audiworld Tech Section

Default Are you still molesting little boys, or do you just hang out here?...

As I clearly stated, some of the info has already been published. Some of it has not been posted anywhere on the web, as far as I can tell.

If you want to make veiled accusations, back them up with facts. Provide a URL where there is programming info on enabling full unlocking with the remote but selective unlocking with the key or enabling/disabling lock/unlock blinks. It is not in the Audiworld tech/Electronics/TT section.

Default That post is inaccurate, at least in regard to the TT version D04 controller...

the following items don't work or are different than stated, and inaccurate information is worse than no information.

2^0 (1) Disable Anti-Theft Warning System 1 Hz blinking
2^1 (2) Disable Immobilizer confirmation flash
2^5 (32) 15 mph central locking (not hatch)
2^8 (256) Disable 1 second button hold for hatch unlock
2^14 (16384) Remote central locking disable

Default Some values are added to enable, some values are added to disable.

The chart works if you know how to use it.

What state gave you a driver's license at thirteen?

Default It's a simple binary data structure, and...

They are all added (or more properly, inclusive or'ed). Setting a bit to 1 chooses the given function. It would make no sense whatsoever to ever subtract one of them, as that would effect other settings. You're obviously thinking of the decimal "shorthand" versions which are frequently given.

I found the same chart in the Bentley where you drew your data from (or was it VESIS), and tried each option on the version D04 controller in my own car. The following didn't work as you described. Did you actually try every one? What version controller do you have?

2^0 (1) Disable Anti-Theft Warning System 1 Hz blinking

Note: Door LEDs blink with either setting. The only apparent change is that when interior monitoring is turned off using the inside switch, the initial LED pattern changes. In one case the LED flashes quickly, then goes dark for about 10 seconds, then starts it's normal 1/sec blink; in the other case, the LED flashes quickly, then stays on for about 10 seconds, then starts it's normal 1/sec blink.

2^1 (2) Disable Immobilizer confirmation flash

Note: On a D04 US vehicle, changing this setting makes no difference to either LED or blinker confirmation flashes on a non-immobilizer 2-3 vehicle (i.e. pre mid-2001 TT). Bentley also uses the term "immobilizer" with regard to the 2^3(8) bit, which IS normally set to on for a non-immobilizer-2/3 vehicle.

2^5 (32) 15 mph central locking (not hatch)

Oops, that one does work, an was incorrectly included in the list.

2^8 (256) Disable 1 second button hold for hatch unlock

Bentley actually calls this something like "time delay (1 second) fading out on trunk unlock." Makes no apparent difference, to either opening the trunk with the remote, or fading courtesy lights on or off.

2^14 (16384) Remote central locking disable

Incorrect. Bentley calls this "remote CL mechanical SCL," and that's exactly what it does.
