with a couple of dabs of clear silicone...No holes. All the pics are at the link above.
You could also consider mounting a standard pod on a V4 like this:

The pod is...>
The VDO 3 3/8th that TTstuff has. Vent ring is just a standard assembly taken apart (These have gotten Pricey), and the gauge is a 60mm Defi link. Went together like they were made for each other..
