Check Engine Light

Hello,
My CEL came on a couple of days ago and has been on for a few days now. The earliest I can take it to the dealer is next week. I was wondering if it's safe to drive the car normally in the meantime?
Also if anyone know of usual solutions to the problem (I tried the fuel cap tightening but to no avail), then please let me know. It might save me a trip to the dealer.

as long as its not flashing at you, you should be fine

i had the same thing happen to me twice. When I brought it in for a service just recently...>

they said it could be that my throttle body had carbon build up.

You'll need to get your codes read, either by the dealer or at Autozone.

Autozone will also clear them for you, if you ask.
