Chip problems?

Chip problems?
Ever since taking my car to the dealer and replace my Abt chip with my stock, and then back again, it seems like my TT225 is making funny noises. The engine when revving sounds like a cross between an old Beetle (knocking?) and an old Jeep (whining). Did I just screw up the codes or is something wrong with my engine? The guys at AMS seem to think I didn't wait long enough after installing the chip with the key in the neutral position (I waited about a minute) and they're going to reset my codes today. Hopefully that should take care of things. Input would be appreciated.

sounds silly, but make sure the rubber sealing tube thing that seperates the ECU from the engine is
sitting properly. I had mine out for a few days and the engine noise is much more apparent, sounds like an old beetle.
