Default Chipping questions

I plan to enjoy my new roadster in its stock form for a while, but of course I'm curious about chipping.

Is it possible to buy just an EEPROM rather than the whole ECU? I would need to be able to go back to stock programming because my TT is leased, and buying a spare ECU seems expensive (~$500, yes?)

Is it possible/worth it to chip a 180 FWD TT without changing the exhaust?

Finally, has anyone chipped a 180 FWD Roadster yet? Any differences from the coupe?

thanks in advance,

chip newbie

Default Chipping w/out a new exhaust is fine, but a stage 2 chip is intended to be used with an

aftermarket exhaust. A stage 1 chip is more suited to a TT with stock exhaust. Or so I gather from the forum.<p>David Fabish TTQ, H&R springs, BBS wheels, BBO in progess
