click, click, click, click, click....dead and won't start

...OK my car was fine all morning then when I was gonna leave for work it wouldn't start. The radio went to safe and the starter just clicks like a machine gun. Think the starter went? Any ideas of what to try or how to check? I had to jump on my motorcycle and leave for work so I didn't get a chance to look at it.
p.s. I scanned the car last night and it was the lat. sensor that went....I guess things happen in two's.

Maybe your radio came back on after you opened the door >>
a gremlin that's happened to me so many times that I'm now in a habit of turning it off when I get out... and if the volume is turned down, you won't even know that it's happened.

about 2 years..... ill jump it tonite and see if it starts up.....
It was clicking so fast and not slowing down so I didnt think it was the battery..but you never know. I'll check it with a volt meter tonite.

But what the hell could have killed it in less than 2 hours? It was running just fine first thing in the morning.

Trickle charge isn't gonna do it.......>
You need a high amperage charger to bring that back to life. You may have an internal short (in the battery or the car)...Have the battery properly charged then load tested
