Default Coilpack install - Difficult?

So my boost problem was actually a misfire in cylinder #2 and the likely suspect is the coilpack. How difficult is it to replace a coilpack? My car is a 2001 180QC. The local repair shop wants 75 bucks parts and labor. I realize the part is only 20 bucks or so. Thanks.

Links or directions? I did a search, didn't find anything. I've never messed with the coilpacks before.

Default Pull the big plastic cover off the engine...

it should be obvious... depends on what style yours has, some are screwed-down (allen screws), some just pull off. My '01 180QC with ATC engine has the type with two allen screws in each. I think it's either 5mm or 6mm.

Agreed, think of them as fancy spark plug wire connectors.

Yeah, yeah funny guy... I've done stuff to my car like swapping out the DV, installing a TTDA and a boost gauge. I'm just guessing that there's some wires that need disconnecting. I think I need to order the coilpack and the wire harness. Is that correct? I'll have a look today or tomorrow. I just don't want to have everything apart and then 'oops, didn't know I'd need one of those.' This is my only car, so if I break something or am missing something, I can't hop in the 'other' car and drive off and get it. Thanks again.

Make sure you are not covered by the recall. You might get Audi to do it for free.

Never received a letter. The thing is, I have REVO. My cylinder only misfires when I'm not in stock mode. So getting the dealership to actually see the problem will be difficult. I'm willing to shell out the cost of a coilpack for my 'abuse' of the ECU.
