I press the lock button on my car key remote with the drivers door opened, then after i close the door the car will arm and lock automatically. I found this very convinent coz sometimes both my hands are occupied and no more hands to press n lock the doors from the outside after the door is closed.
I found this feature also apply to the trunk. when trunk open, try to lock it, then close it and it will arm and lock.

Doesn't work here in the US....some its similar....
If you keep the driver door open, it won't lock unless the door is closed. If the driver door is closed and everything else is open(passenger door, trunk), you can do that. Maybe its because you guys are sitting on the wrong side of the car? :0)

This works on mine just as you say. I use it a lot with the trunk.
In fact, if the alarm, in general, is armed, and I open the trunk with the remote, and thenopen the trunk and reclose it, the car give it's reassuring little beep agai to let me know the alarm is rearmed.

This was changed as I just tried it . . .it only affects my drivers door . . .
Here is what I found:
Open drivers door and set alarm. When I close the drivers door the alarm does NOT rearm itself, the car is unarmed.
Open Passenger door and set alarm. When I close the passenger door the alarm DOES arm itself.
Set the alarm and open the hatch. When you close the hatch the alarm DOES rearm itself.
In my car it is ONLY the drivers door that does not reset the alarm. It might be because I had the locks recoded to lock at 15mph and the keyfob can open the windows. That is all I have changed, but that is just a guess.
Does anyone with the 15mph locks have the ability to close the drivers door as I described above?
