Default down pipe

I have a 3 inch down pipe and it seems to be hitting the power stearing. The thing i was told it that the only way to fix it is to punch a flat spot on the down pipe and vw doesnt know if they can do that. So i was wondering if anyone has had the problem of there down pipe hitting something. What did u do to fix this problem other than putting a flat spot on the down pipe.

Another reason to go with 2.5 in., especially if you are a FWD w/K03.

Have whoever made it adjust it. Shouldnt need to dent it.
