Driver's door problem

I can't get out of the car by using the internal door handle/lever. No reaction at all. Have to lower the glass window to get access to the door handle to open the door. What is wrong? TIA

more than likely the >>>

metal bar that attaches to the inside of the handle is off, or broken. You need to remove the door panel and check it out....instructions are in the FAQ
