Driver's side door won't open from inside
I have a weird thing happening on my 2001 TT Coupe. If the temperature drops below 50-55 degrees the inside door handle doesn't open the door. I have to roll the window down and open it from outside. If I park in the sun or the temp is warmer I have no issues. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I just took off door panel to replace the door pull. I would simply take off the panel to see if everything is connected correctly. There is a wire to the latch of the door. See if it is working properly. Sounds like the latch in the door is failing. You can find replacements for under $200.
Not sure why temp outside would make much difference - but once you get in there you will know.
PS make sure you take pic of wiring before you disconnect it (I am trying to figure out alarm issue right now - because I didn't take pic of wires in the lower door harness.)
