Driver's Side Window Problem ... ???
This of course, is assuming that the rubber seal is intact and in place correctly. Seems strange that this should take more than an hour or so, including taking the door panel off.
The dealer tried to correct the problem on that car, but was unable to do so. It's a long story, but seems that the car had an "off road" experience before I bought it. After I learned that and shoved the car back up the dealers a$$, I always suspected that it had something to do with the 4 wheeling. By that time, I had no interest in trying to fix the problem. Suspect this is not the problem with your car.If the car is still under warranty it's worth it to have the dealer take another swat at it. You may want to ask if they have had their body shop check it out, or just one of their techs. It's been my experience that a good body man can usually correct these minor "finesse" adjustments much better than a line tech.
Or, try another dealer if there's one within reasonable distance. I've heard that some of the Audi shops will ignore this type of problem for the first 2-3 shop visits. Then, maybe take it up after you bitch long enough.
If you get no satisfaction from a dealer, try a top notch body shop in the area. Maybe you can get Audi to pick up the tab if they can fix it.
FWIW.
.I've asked my dealer to take a look at it when
I bring it in for service in two weeks.
He knows all about this as he did it on my car. James is the Audi Specialist Mgr. for this dealership.
