electircal problems

I was just wondering if anyone knows what this could be from. I have just purchaced an 2000 audi tt quattro with 65k miles and it has a few electrical problems. The heated seats only work once and a while and only the bottom of the seat gets hot at all when they do work, The alarm button in the consel doesnt work the light doesnt turn on or anything, when i hit the l / 0 on the roof light only the driver side and the middle light goes on not the passenger, the oil gauge blinks even though the oil is perfectly level, my Ipod tape wont release, ive even experienced my lights not turning on once. It sort of sounds like someone put the battery in backwards or something but me not being a car person and not having the money to get it checked out right away am alittle worried. i dont know if that has anything to do with the cluster failure but its the only thing i could find that discribed any one of my problems. ive got a 3 month 3k engine, transmission warranty. I was so eager to take it home i didnt really test the heated seats very well, but at the time everything else worked fine. Wish i would have done alittle more research before i made the purchase final. That and the guy i was doing buisness was sort of odd.
