Electrical problem
The dealer has had it for a combined 5 entire days and they gave up on it. They put a new fuse in and told me to come pick it up and of course their fuse blew as soon as I turned the headlights on.
I had it to an independent auto shop specializing in eletrical and they gave up on it after 2 days. Same thing, put a new fuse in which it blew in about 2 minutes.
The last two months I've been driving in the dark basically. The gauges lights and all the button lights are out. My left taillight and parking light are out. The taillight being the worse part of it.. I feel like I'm going to get pulled over at any moment.
Any ideas? Electrical and wiring is definitely not something that I really want to mess around with but at this point I think I'm going to have to dig in and fix it myself
If it doesn't blow, take apart the tail light, remove the black bulb carrier, and inspect the bulb holders. They may be corroded, causing high resistance, causing a current draw=blown fuse.
Check the bulbs in this carrie to see if they are still well attached to the brass bases. Remove them all, inspect the bulb contacts.
BTW- there are 2 circuits on the brake light switch
