Default Electronic boost controller...need help

I have a 2001 TTQC 180hp. I have and apr 91 oct. chip. I recently installed an HKS EVC boost controller and realized awesome results. Then the next day my boost would rise to around 12 psi, then drop down to 6 with a noticeable air sound coming from under the hood. I played with the controller for a while and got it to function properly again. The problem is that it keeps happening. Does anyone know what this could possible be?
TIA, Jeff Horton

Default I mean after you had issues with the EBC, you tried going back to the

N75? If that's the case, did you cap off the intake hose line that went to the N75? Check the hoses to the EBC solenoid?

Default You have probably exceeded max torque spec and gone into soft limp mode.

restarting the car will usually clear this.

so to verify this, he could just turn the boost down and see if it holds stable

Default tried it, this thing is so inconsistent-

should I set the EVC for an Internal Wastegate(single port actuator) or an external wastegate/dual port actuator? right now it is set for an internal wastegate single port actuator

thanks

Default It's an internal wastegate....

You might also have to leave the N75 electrical connected, and not the tubing.

Default in A4 world we've found that you have 2 choices with the N75

conneced, but with the compressor in looped to the wastegate out nipples, or just leave it unplugged. Otherwise it can throw into limp mode with some charge pressure deviation fault code.

Another question is which EBC are you running. Some are better for certain types of applications i.e. some better for single turbo and some for twin turbo setups. Most of the A4 guys like the Greddy Profec B. Seems to work very well, helps with lag, controls boost spikes, it's relatively cheap and very simple.
