Engine light on! help!
I have had an engine light on for two weeks now. What are some things that might cause this to go on?
I had the oil changed and the gas cap is on tight.
Any trouble shooting ideas? Thanks!

Get a Vag-Com, without it anything could be the problem.
If you want to troubleshoot your own issues you need the proper tools. Vag-Com is a necessity, not an option. If you're an engineer I'd think you'd know the importance of having the right tools and information.
Otherwise, buy a new MAF, buy a new temp sensor, buy new spark plugs, buy new coil packs, buy new o2 sensors, and maybe it'll be fixed and you'll spend twice as much as if you just went and got a Vag-Com in the first place.
