EPC problem

Hi, I own a 225 audi Q TT import from germany, and my break warning light has come on. Does the breaks worn warning effect your computer as it has taken over and I am now in safe mode, for want of a better word, The cars computer has slowed me down. If this is all it is then thank you for any insight.

Could your brakes be locking up? That happened to my friend's Jetta (did you get vag-tool reading?).
