Error Code 1128 - running lean- oxy sensor- ?
i need some help guys, my check engine light came on, error code 1128, my mechanic hooked it up said it read "running lean" which he said usually means level 2 oxygen sensor or something. My question is , i'm out of the 3 year warranty, he said it should be covered b/c it's under emmissions which is 8years/80,000 miles. When i brought car to audi, they said no, it's not covered, only the catalytic converter is covered for 8yrs/80,000 under emissions, not the sensor. Anyone have this issue and was it covered under the emissions warranty of 8yrs/80,000? Thanks

The o2 sensors are down to less than $30 from your dealer, or from any number of online vendors
search the archives for a part number...
They are also fairly easy to replace yourself, especially the rear one.
