Default forge dv flutter... which dv do i have?-->>

it looks just like the one in the picture, but mine doesnt have the flat spots around part that unscrews to open it up. its just round. it also says forge on it just like the one in the picture. its a rubber diaphram(sp?) and has the several springs that i can(i use the green one since im stock). i bought it second hand from a buddy with a 20th gti that was going stage 3+ apr. he cant remember which one it was.

ok on to the flutter.
it makes a fluttering sound as soon as i let off the gas and am at low boost(1-8 psi). it doesnt make the flutter if the car is in vaccum. Also it doesnt flutter at higher boost(10-15psi) instead it makes a whooosh noise.

is that how it is supposed to sound?

Default you possibly have an 007 and you need to open it up and clean and lube >

it (unscrew the top); also possible you have a diaphragm valve, that's more associated with fluttering, just that I'm not positive what it looks like and I do know the 007 looks like what you describe.
If it's a diaphragm, open it up and inspect for tears or fatigue.

Pretty common. Take it apart and look...Forge will send you a new part N/C

Some Forge's flutter on some cars no matter what you do..

If it is then unscrew the top take out the o-ring seal and piston clean both. Re-apply grease and put it back in, make sure the top is tight.

Detailed Service Instructions

Default Forge Race DVR - as Steve said - check the diaphram and also try a shim

under the spring and see if the flutter goes away.
