Default Front Alignment issues

I think I have an alignment problems. First of all, my front left tire screeches when turning to the left even at pretty low speeds.

When looking dead straight at the front of the car, the right wheel seems to be turned to the left a little bit (toed out), while the right wheel looks pretty straight. Is this fixable by a front alignment?

By the way, my strut mounts have collapsed and will be replacing those real soon. Wont do the alignment until those are done. I just hope its nothing more serious.

Default Holy crap...>>

You are just noticing this? LF looks like it was in an accident, but it could just be the collapsed strut tower bushes....Take a picture of those for us. Honestly that's more camber than I've seen on a stock car ever....

Pic of the top please and we can advise...

Default Collapsed strut tower bushing would not be that severe. Bent shock.

Sorry Steve, but this is exactly how my driver side alignment looked after my accident. Maybe the bushing did collapse and put undue stress on the shock and as a result the shock bent. I would not drive your car the way it looks. It could cause more damage than is already there.

Default This car had been in an accident ..

To make a long story short, I got this from the dealer and its obvious that it had been in an accident (paint mismatch on some places, gaps not aligned at rear..) Car is not salvaged however.. I did not notice how bad the front left alignment was until I changed front tires last week. Now Im'm thinking maybe that the accident is worse than i thought. I just hope that no frame damage though.

Default Bent shock?

I have taken out the front wheels before and how do I check for bent shocks?

Default Could be...>>

If the suspension is working and I assume it is, it would probably be bent at the top of the shaft where it goes into the strut bushings. Put a short straightedge on the upper part of the shaft and check for straightness. Shoot a pic of the bushings from the top too so I can look at that... Your Pic2 looks bad, pic 3 better...Hard to tell from that angle..

Default Ok, I' at my other office now....>>>

from what I had a few months ago, I hit a very small median at around 25=30mph and it did considerable damage to the driver side shock. Apparently, TT suspensions are not that tough! If you hit something (and I would suggest to come forth with this to diagnose futher to help you along to get it fixed), then this is another matter that should immediately be taken care of. In my case, I filed a claim with my insurance to help me out, but, I would not go that route again based on my recent insurance increase. I would strongly suggest to seek out the best alignment shop in your town and get an opinion. I don't have much technical experience insofar as auto-mechanics go, but I can say to you that from my experience (and it is closely related) that you definately have a bent shock. Correct me if I am wrong and I will pay you one million dollars (ha! ha!), but I really believe this is what is going on. Good luck to you, and I hope that it is not that severe for your wallet!
