Default Gotta love my TT

Being only 17 my hopes and dreams of owning a TT have been pushed back for quite some time because I never thought that I would be able to afford such a nice car, but low and behold. 1 day after selling my other car (2007 Lancer ES) for 7,500, I was able to find a 2000 TT Quattro with 88,000 (new water pump and timing belt for 7,000. In my area, I can turn around and sell it for 8,500-10,000. But I will not be doing that because this car is amazing, and in flawless condition. Bone stock, with (somewhat rare) blue leather interior in mint condition. In my area, this car was pretty much a steal, and from the first time I drove it I have loved it. Let's just say there are many plans in the future for this car!

Congrats! Great find...

Take care of it, service it as needed, and it will serve you well for many years to come.

Congrats, but you paid slightly above KBB market price for a 2000, with those miles, loaded and in excellent condition. Only a true novice, overly rich and under brained would pay 8.5-10K or a car valued at close to 7.5K.

But that's not really important. What is, is that you are happy.

Take care of it and it'll take care of you. Regarding mods, keep them to simple, reversible, mods and you'll not loose your *** should you try to resell at a later date....and keep those OEM parts that you remove. Stock TTs command the highest value on resale.

cheers

This is his first post on this forum about finally owning his "dream" car and this is the first thing you say to him? There's a million other ways to say what you said with some form of respect.

I don't agree I disrespected him at all. He paid market value, nothing disrespectful in that. I did shoot down his notion he'd resell for big bucks unless his buyer (not him) is a true novice...

besides, first thing was "congrats"

Welcome to Audiworld I remember when I first saw my dream car hanging from the wall and ceiling of the Jacob Javits Center in New York it was the 1999? New York Auto Show and there were five silver tt's hanging in space. It took me until 2002 to finally get of my own one but I have treasured it ever since every single time I get in that car I feel like a kid strapping in to his go kart... enjoy it it man and I wish I had that blue leather interior!
