Having some fun with a boost controller. (read: fun)
I set it to around 18psi and went on a back straight. The boost just sticks at 18psi and doesn't fall off at all, it was a neat feeling.
I set it at recommended levels for testing, to see if it was much of a difference. as its set right now, there really isn't a point to have it besides the fact that it holds boost a lot longer, so the next question is deciding weather or not I leave it on...
I have it set at the exact level the GIAC chip boosts at... if I were to turn it up to 20psi, or even 19psi, would I hurt the car?
When I had it set at 17psi the first time I hit the gas the EPC light came on and the car went limp. I thought I had messed something up, but boosting at stock levels shouldn't hurt anything.
it was right in the middle of accelerating in first and it was like hitting a wall.
EPC light was on, turned the car off and back on and it was fine...
That's when I came home and posted, I was wondering if this was just a part of doing what I did or if it was something else.
Very weird...
I haven't taken it off yet, but if its going to blow up something, I'll throw the thing in the trash. I was just trying some stuff I read...
Maybe it was a fluke.
